My Photos/Videos - R.E.M., Manchester, UK (2008)

On the bank holiday weekend in August we went to see the almighty R.E.M. at Manchester's LCCC stadium. We got there early and managed to get quite near the stage, Michael Stipe came down and saw the crowd a couple of times so we managed to get some great close up photos of him! It was a long day, we were standing from around 3pm till 10:30pm at night and then we had a long drive home afterwards. The support bands were "Editors" and "Guillemots", they were both pretty good… but it was R.E.M. themselves who put on a great show, it was a great live performance… they are one of the best bands when seen live.

The R.E.M. tickets were £45 each + £5 handling fee! Pretty expensive, but they don't tour very often, so we had to go. Manchester (2008)
