With a little help from a Native American woman we found from the 'Hopi' tribe and her son (aged about 15) we managed to dig the car out in about 4 hours. We then used her big truck to pull the car out and we were back on our way... Arizona (2007)

It was dark by the time we got the car towed out of the mud... and because yanking the car out of the mud knackered the wheel balancing, everytime we went between 40-60mph the car shook like hell... all the way to Chicago.  Arizona (2007)

This is what my clothes looked like after trying to dig out the car after 4 hours... The inside of the car looked even worse! For the rest of the journey we spent an hour most mornings cleaning the inside of the car! Flagstaff (2007)
